TikToker discovers a receipt for surveillance equipment in her Airbnb, saying, "Somebody invested a lot of money into spying on others."

Secret hidden cameras and discrete audio recorders were on sale at her Airbnb, according to TikToker Arlen (@coolstrawberryy_). After being posted on Saturday, the video has received over 488,000 views and 25,900 likes, with the narration reading, "a receipt we found at our Airbnb.

As you can see in the short video, Arlen is holding up an itemized packing slip for a number of different products, including an iPhone case hidden camera, a USB flash drive audio recorder and a 16-hour voice activated recorder.

It's revealed in two follow-up videos that her partner found the receipt under their bed in an Airbnb-rented large house, and that the mailing address was just down the street. The receipt is from March of the next year, 2021.

According to Arlen in the explanatory video, "I suspect what happened was that somebody took the equipment to the Airbnb and dropped the receipt".

This piece of equipment costs more over a thousand dollars, as Arlen explains, while speculating on its intended use. "So it wasn't just a prank or an experiment done for the sake of it. Spying on people cost a lot of money.

While Arlen and her sister were unable to locate any hidden devices, they did phone the non-emergency number and were instructed to inform their Airbnb host of their discovery. Security cameras and recording equipment are required to be disclosed by Airbnb hosts.

A receipt was requested and given by them as proof of purchase. After the third follow-up, Arlen reports that he received a call from the safety team's lady, who asked a few more questions and promised to keep us updated.

In the original video's comments section, the majority of people suggested that she try to get the police involved.

@muchoscomments advises, "Try to find a means to report it and take pictures."

"Get your money back from Airbnb, hosts are supposed to reveal cameras and Airbnb WILL give you your money back for this," says @user9321066519337 on the Discord.

Others expressed fear for her safety while offering tips on how to find the concealed cameras.
