Juice company Jamba Juice should reassess the use of robots in the workplace, says expert.

In a video that has gone viral, a Jamba Juice robot fails miserably to pour smoothies into cups without spilling the contents.

Video posted by @cyncity22 shows a robot arm pouring a green smoothie before it is handed to a client in a cup that it holds. The arm trembles as it tries to pour the drinks before spilling it. Both halves are dumped, with one half dripping into an open cup of coffee.

The Jamba Juice business had stated earlier this month that it will be testing the capabilities of its robotic smoothie kiosks as stand-ins for kiosk staff due to a manpower shortage in the United States.

A number of people responded to the video with jokes about the robot's defense. "It's genuinely trembling, it's simply trying its hardest," one person joked.

One commenter worried about his employment after seeing the robot video. This new Jamba Juice technology is not meant to replace human workers, but rather to fulfill the demand for digital ordering without placing further stress on the company's already overworked staff, according PYMYNTS.com

Some viewers claimed to know how to make smoothies, and they even began giving advice to the robot.

Later, the video's uploader claimed that the kiosk had given her a voucher in exchange for the messed-up smoothie order she had placed.
