"You weren't discreet enough," the worker remarked later.

TikTok user claims she was unjustly accused of shoplifting from Anastasia's Vintage Thrift Store in Berkeley, California. When she complained about the lack of dressing rooms, a shop clerk allegedly instructed her to try on clothing in the store's rear. It's not apparent whether he informed her that she shouldn't be in that location in the first place.

Since Phae's video was posted last week, it's had 428,000 views. Phae is known online as @playaphaeya. Her reasoning for retreating to the back of the store was that she didn't want to purchase the shirts without first trying them on since they weren't returnable.

The second time he discovered her back there, someone who seemed to be an employee approached her as she prepared to put on the shirts in the store's rear. He requested her to go after taking the goods.

For the first time since they'd gone to the shop together, Phae was startled. She was also perplexed since she was following instructions from another employee.

She walked back up to the front desk, the guy trailing after her. "Dude, I just spoke to the staff and they informed me—you don't know me," Phae replied. To the other employee, she apologised and said: 'Your guy is attempting to throw me out of the shop.'

After hearing Phae mention trying on the clothing behind her, someone off-screen confessed to assuring her she could, and the accused guy said, "Alright, that's not a customer area. Returning to that place is not an option.

Even though this was Phae's first trip to the shop, she confronted the guy and demanded to know why he claimed to have seen her there twice. The guys repeatedly told her she couldn't return to that place without apologizing.

It's my first time in the shop, and some man attempted to accuse me of stealing," Phae captioned her TikTok video.

The guy tried to eject Phae and grabbed the things she was interested in, despite the fact that he didn't directly accuse her of stealing. Phae rushed out of the room during the argument and left behind a pair of socks.

Phae made a second TikTok video showing her driving back to the shop since she was "out of pocket as fuck."

Phae said, "That's unacceptable. I need to speak to somebody's boss about that." After being instructed to hide in the back to change and check whether the crap fit, that guy accused me of stealing.

This made her laugh, since she had been suspected of stealing while hiding in the store's dark rear corner.

Phae appeared in front of the shop with the guy who had originally instructed her to try on the clothing in the rear in a subsequent segment of the camera tape.

"That was not what I was meant to do. "I asked that you do it discretely," the guy replied. "It seems as if you weren't sufficiently discrete."

Trying to defend herself, Phae said it wasn't her fault he flouted the laws for her sake was futile. It was her fault, not his, that he misunderstood her. The two were yelling over one another, with the guy insisting that no one had ever accused Phae of anything. Phae felt she had been treated unfairly.

The guy insisted again and time again that he was not to blame for the predicament. He also stated that he works long days (8 hours) and has a large number of clients to deal with every day.

After asking when his boss would be available, Phae was informed by the guy, "She ain't going to here. And there's no way I'm making her put up with it. As a result, you're free to get in your vehicle and continue your day.

Because "that's not how you treat people," Phae said she'd be returning every day until the manager appeared to talk with her. The guy told her to go on with her day as normal.

He assured her that no one had mistreated her. "I went against the rules for you, and you screwed it up. You didn't show enough discretion."

Then he threatened to lose his job if she "started crap."

In a third video, a stranger approached Phae and tried to guide her toward her vehicle, according to the user who uploaded the video. Instead, he stood beside her vehicle and shouted, "Get the fuck outta here!"

That's how they treat consumers here," Phae said, her voice rising in anger. This individual said, "Apparently," in response.

He then launched into yet another tirade, admonishing Phae to put down her tears.

Phae eventually opened the door of her vehicle and said, "That's fucking insane." Because it is complete and utter bullsh*t, I will be returning to this area with a companion." And it's all on videotape."
