If you want me, you have to choose between me and the mandate; you cannot have us both.
As a result of the COVID-19 vaccination mandate, conservative radio host Dan Bongino has threatened to break relations with his broadcasting business.
Bongino, a former police officer and Secret Service agent, said in a statement on Monday that Cumulus Media would have to choose between him and the law during a portion of "The Dan Bongino Show."
Bongino stated, "You can have me or you can have the mandate, but you can't have both of us.
When Cumulus Media determined that majority of its workers would be required to return to work at the company's offices, they initially announced the demand over two months earlier.
Cumulus Media CEO Mary Berner announced in a message that all workers, with the exception of those with legal exemptions, will be required to be vaccinated.
According to her, making exceptions based on personal preferences would be unfair and take up valuable bandwidth.
Cumulus Media apparently lost or dismissed several staff as a result of the policy prior to Bongino's on-air ultimatum.
Bongino, who was given the COVID vaccination, says he is defying the order to protect his coworkers, not himself. Bongino received the vaccine.
According to a tweet from the news website run by Bongino, "To be clear, @dbongino was vaccinated on his doctor's advise while he was battling cancer." When it comes to the vaccination mandate, "he's not fighting it for himself. He's fighting it for other employees who don't have the resources to fight back."
Even after that outburst, Bongino continued to berate Cumulus Media, labeling the demand as both "unethical" and "immoral".
This collaboration with Cumulus must be decided by both parties if they wish to maintain it or not. However, I'm communicating with you through their radio network. Bongino went on to say, "They don't have to allow that to happen." "It's up to you. I collaborate with you on a daily basis. I'm not your employee and never will be. If you had others in a corner, you would have had me.
According to the Daily Beast, Bongino, who broadcasts a Saturday night discussion show on Fox News, has so far kept mute on the vaccine requirement.
