A "Little Sabbatical" From Acting For Ryan Reynolds, Which Led To A Classic Blake Lively Troll, Leads To A Ryan Reynolds Announcement
Spirited, a musical adaptation of A Christmas Carol featuring Ryan as a Scrooge-like character, Octavia Spencer as his colleague and Will Ferrell as the Ghost of Christmas Present, had just completed up shooting when he finished filming for his new movie.
Is it possible that this means I'll have a strong desire to assassinate Ebenezer Scrooge?
Ryan said, "Not sure I'd have been ready to say yes to a project this difficult even three years ago," in an Instagram post after the film's completion.
"Playing in the sandbox, singing, and dancing with Will Ferrell fulfilled a lot of childhood fantasies. And it's my second collaboration with Octavia Spencer, who's always a pleasure to work with."
Ryan and Octavia previously appeared together in the film The Nines, which came out in 2007.
When Ryan returned, he wrote on his blog about his time off, saying, "It's the perfect time of year for a little vacation from filmmaking. The time I spent working with this very talented group of designers and artists is going to be really difficult to replace."
"Kindness has surpassed skill in importance these days. I've had the good fortune to deal with individuals who have enough of both "he came to a conclusion
Once Blake Lively entered the conversation, she poked fun at how Ryan wasn't the only one to announce that day that he was leaving acting*.
Even while it's unclear how Ryan's "little vacation" would impact his future endeavors, such as Deadpool 3, I'm sure a break is a wonderful idea, considering how exhausted just glancing at his IMDb page makes me feel.
To be fair, Blake has previously said that she and Ryan don't work on projects at the same time in order to keep the family together. So, maybe she's working on something significant?
