A shortage of waitstaff plagues restaurants across the country. Please be considerate to the guests that have already arrived.

Three million people have seen a video of a group of TikTokers pretending to snooze in order to get the attention of their waitress. Despite the creator's claims that it was all in good fun, patrons have received backlash on the internet.

Whatever your perspective on the video by @tommybracco, viewers are discussing what they would do if faced with long waits at restaurants because of a labor scarcity, as some have pointed out.

For his portrayal as Spot Colon in the Broadway production of "Newsies," Bracco is well-known. They tipped him handsomely after waiting an hour, he said in a comment on his own video.

Everybody, this is a joke," Bracco concluded. As a rule, we leave a substantial gratuity even when things go wrong.

Upon being questioned about whether or not the prank was successful in luring a waitress' attention, Bracco replied that he believed it was, but that the restaurant was understaffed, so it wasn't her fault. He wrote, "It sorta did I think." "The waitresses had nothing to do with it. There was a noticeable shortage of employees at the establishment."

The fact that many eateries are experiencing a scarcity of workers was also brought up by other comments.

One commentator lamented the "understaffing" of restaurants. "Be courteous to the people that came out to support you."

Another remarked, "If this happened at my table, I'd probably resign".

During a long wait for a waiter to accept his order, another TikToker orders an order to go from within the restaurant by phoning. Another TikToker pieced the footage together.

Most places are short-staffed, but if the poster wants to join the team, they are always hiring. Commenter: "The disrespect is crazy." We're recruiting if you want speedier service because everyone is short-staffed because of the epidemic.
