'It looks fresh for fast food': In viral TikTok video, a Burger King employee demonstrates how the chicken is cooked.

Some people were skeptical that this was genuine Burger King beef, prompting discussion.

In a popular TikTok video, a purported Burger King employee demonstrated how the food chain's chicken is prepared—and the footage may surprise some viewers.

He's seen in the footage, uploaded Tuesday by user @daquanjames0, drenching raw chicken in flour and batter before frying it for an undetermined length of time. In other words, he cooks the chicken properly.

The finished product—a crispy, golden piece of chicken—astonished several viewers, presumably because TikTokers have spent the past year exposing chain restaurants' food preparation methods.

For instance, one TikToker disclosed last autumn that McDonald's utilizes dried onions in their burgers. Another video from last year demonstrates how much food at Panera Bread is frozen or prepared.

As a result, the Burger King chicken video — which has surpassed 20.5 million views — came as a pleasant surprise to several viewers.

“Wow. It's true!" one user said.

"I'm in awe whenever I see fast food restaurants using genuine meat/ingredients," another person said.

"Wow, that looks very fresh for fast food," a third individual observed.

Naturally, not everyone accepted the video on its face value. Some people expressed surprise that the fresh chicken originated from Burger King in the comments.

"The nuggets are really composed of horse ankles and turtle knees," one individual remarked.

"Yeah, this is not BK," another said. "Everything is frozen," he said.

"Unfortunately, as an honest Burger King employee, we do not use these tactics," another said. "Instead, we microwave it, which imparts an unpleasant flavor."
